          Acid and Alkaline Recovery

          China's industrial production often produces a large number of acidic or alkaline waste liquids with different concentrations of metal ions, acid and alkali. Direct emissions not only waste resources, but also cause serious pollution to the environment. In order to protect the environment from being polluted and recover useful substances, purification must be carried out before the acid and alkaline waste liquids are discharged. Most domestic and foreign wastewater treatment methods use the neutralization method, and this method is easy to cause secondary pollution. The use of new membrane technologies such as infiltration, reverse osmosis, nanofiltration, ultrafiltration and dialysis can effectively avoid the secondary pollution.
           

              As a new separation technology, membrane technology can effectively purify the waste water, and recycle useful materials, and at the same time, it has the characteristics of energy conservation, low consumption, without pollution, simple equipment and convenient operation, so it shows a broad prospect in terms of treatment of acid-alkali waste liquids.

              1. Acid environment

              Tested acid environment (part):

          •   20% sulphuric acid
          •   20% hydrochloric acid
          •   30% phosphoric acid
          •   4% hydrogen nitrate

              Typical application of acid environment:

          •   Purification of acid and removal of metal cations
          •   Acid recovery after leaching operation
          •   Mineral acid decolorization
          •   Reclaim dissolved chemicals
          •   Concentration and recovery of ions in acidic solution
          •   Some routine applications that require corrosive strong acid cleaning
          •   Chemical industry: in the production process of the use of acidic medium, recycle acid and concentrate the final product
          •   Food, beverage and dairy industry: in production process and equipment cleaning, clean and reuse acid after CIP process
          •   Recovery of metals from raffinate, such as copper, zinc, cobalt, molybdenum, tungsten, uranium, gold, etc.
          •   Concentration of metals in industrial wastewater to reduce operating and wastewater treatment costs
          •   Reclaim high-value metals from emission logistics and industrial wastewater
          •   The effective separation of copper and gold in carbon slurry process can improve the extraction rate of subsequent gold
           

              2.Alkaline solutions
           
              Tested alkaline solutions include:

          •   4% sodium hydroxide
          •   10%  sodium hydroxide
          •   20% sodium hydroxide
          •   20% potassium hydroxide

              Typical application of alkaline environment

          •   Recovery of alkaline flow (sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide)
          •   Metal recovery in alkaline flow
          •   Recovery of used electrolyte
          •   Reduce COD content before and during the neutralization of industrial wastewater
          •   Recovery of alkali solution for cleaning containers and equipment
          •   Some routine applications that are required for corrosive strong alkali cleaning
          •   Pulp and synthetic fiber: caustic soda is purified from hemicellulose and other organic contaminants, which results in the 95% reuse rate of sodium hydroxide
          •   Food, beverage and dairy products: purification of the regenerated solution after exchange of spent lye wash (CIP) and ion (in the production of sugar decolorization) to make repeated use rate of sodium hydroxide as high as 95%
          •   Chemical industry: alkali recovery used in many alkaline environment production operations and final product concentration
